A NEW APPROACH
The Monoment watch allows you to continuously change the look of the watch so that it suits every occasion.
In order to obtain this possibility, the watch's construction consists of a watch case, dial and crown that has undergone a specific and innovative design process, and thus contains a new approach than a conventional wristwatch.
The watches consist of an inner case, called Monocase, which is surrounded by two replaceable outer shells.
SIMPLICITY
The monocase is the center of the watch. It is the inner case for all the critical components of the watch. The movement, the glass and the winding crown are among the components mounted in the Monocase. Even the dial is an integral part of the Monocase.
Together with the shells, this unique watch construction is patented by Augustsen København. The monocase construction even allows the crown to be operated under water.
CHANGING THE LOOK OF THE WATCH
The first line of Monoment shells are robust, heavy-duty shells that are bolted together with four bolts to ensure protection of the inner case and movement against shock and water.
When the two shells are fastened together by the bolts, the front and watch case glass are tightened against the watch's inner watch case, which increases the watch's water resistance.
The shells are replaceable, which makes it possible to switch to other colors or other future Augustsen København shells. They are made in blown anodised aluminium, held together by specially designed 316L stainless steel screws, all made in Denmark.
LOCAL PRODUCTION
The Monoment watches have come to life by participating in invaluable development and manufacturing processes with friends and family.
Through a strong dedication to functionalist design and quality, the Monoment watches are produced with the intention of being long-lasting and thus able to last for many years to come.
Based on these strong roots, Augustsen København can today proudly practice a new approach to the production of wristwatches - where watch cases, dials, crowns, shells, shell screws, leather straps and boxes are manufactured in Denmark.
